We are in search of a Wine Educator / Sommelier who will play a vital role in our organization by providing leadership and innovation. Adelsheim Vineyard was established in 1971 and has played an instrumental role in nearly every aspect of the Oregon wine story. Our initial 19 acres have grown to 8 estate vineyards across 173 acres in the Northern Willamette Valley, where we grow Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Sparkling, Pinot Blanc, and Syrah.
It is an exciting time here as we look to the future with a focus on sustainability initiatives, innovation, and creativity. Adelsheim is proudly woman-owned and a LIVE-certified sustainable winery. While our legacy may be over 50 years, we are just getting started.

Reports To:
Tasting Room Management

Role Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the operation in its back of house functions and some guest-facing functions. This role assists in managing the day-to-day systems that enable the winery and onsite hospitality team to offer compelling experiences and create lasting impressions which drive higher sales, Club Member Sign Up and return visits.

Your Role
•  Customer Service Excellence: You'll provide the highest quality of customer service with graciousness and pride, highlighting our unique company spirit, Legacy and history
as the first winery in the Chehalen Mountain. You'll greet guests, host wine tastings, and ensure an oustanding experience for all guests with true hospitality.
•  Promote and sell our products in the tasting Room.
•  Support Special Events and assist as needed, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of our winery.
•  Responsible for processing used glassware, plate ware, flatware, and other items throughout service
•  Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all facets of the dish area and assisting the team in addressing any larger concerns. Responsible for portioning some food
items
•  Can work well under pressure to execute their job functions in an expeditious and tidy manner, while maintaining a positive disposition and very detailed oriented
•  Assisting the Tasting Room staff in clearing, cleaning, and setting tables and host guests as needed.
•  Pulling, Packing Wine into shipping boxes when needed.
•  Assists with opening and closing the facility in a manner that is consistent with the direction and guidance of the Management team
•  Offers support to other departments whenever necessary
•  Able to work well under pressure and take directions well.

Requirements and Availability:
•  This is a full-time position from Thursday through Sunday in a four day 8 to 10 hours format
•  Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
•  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
•  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
•  A valid, current OLCC and Food Handler license.
•  A valid, current Driver’s License and/or passport as well as reliable transportation
•  Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, while contributing to our friendly, upbeat hospitality

Compensation and Benefits

•  Hiring Rate $20 / hr + Tips.
•  Solo shifts: includes 100% of tips received
•  Tip pool shifts (occasionally): educators receive 90% and BOH receive 10% tips
•  Wine sales Commission and club sign up bonus based on each individual effort and accomplishment. •  Professional Support: We have a management team to support the
