Job Description
Are you a skilled Sheet Metal Journeyman with a positive mindset and a history of successful HVAC installations? We need someone who can diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and expertly install a variety of HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for setting up indoor air quality and control systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and thrive in teamwork with colleagues and clients. Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding codes, and manuals is a must. Being comfortable with efficiently using a range of HVAC tools is crucial. Responsibilities:
• Probe tubing joints, pipes, and connections for possible leaks
• Set up all heating, air conditioning, air quality, refrigeration, and control systems
• Follow all applicable policies, codes, standards, and safety procedures
• Communicate with clients on how to properly use and maintain their new equipment
• Outline and join electrical wiring according to the diagram using hand tools
Qualifications:
• Journeyman Certification Required: Must have completed an accredited journeyman program
• Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections
• Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school and 2+ years as an HVAC installation technician
• Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics
• Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills
