Job Description Day-to-Day: Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer II for one of our clients in the Sacramento area. This person will be responsible for working on outages that they client experiences in Sacramento; however they are wanting you to take a proactive approach and be looking at analytics consistently to see where switch replacements need to be made. The engineer will also interact with vendors and customers to evaluate and implement projects that enhance the university's data, voice, and video networking infrastructure. Additionally, the position includes generating documentation, providing technical resolutions, and assisting in the development of technical standards. Skills and Requirements Must Haves: - 5+ years experience within networking/telecommunications o Experience with administering Cisco ASA or Palo Alto Firewall o Experience administering Cisco wireless infrastructure o Prior experience working with Aruba - CCNA certification - CCNP certification OR willingness to obtain once onsite - High school diploma and 60+ credit hours of continuing education OR Bachelors degree Plusses: - Bachelors degree Compensation: $40/hr to $45/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
