As a Hardware Development Engineer you will engage with cross functional teams to develop custom tools and provide design for supportability recommendations. You are a motivated self-starter, who is responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute product designs from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation, and testing
• Work with Ergo, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commodity organizations, as well as vendors, to ensure a smooth product launch and sustainment
• Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Apply industrial design principles to enhance ergonomics and user experience
• Create and release drawings for scale manufacturing
• Implement customer feedback loops to address emerging challenges

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software, including best practices for part design, advanced assemblies, and complex configuration management
- Hands-on experience crafting and evaluating proof-of-concept models and prototypes
- Thorough understanding of principles, theories, and concepts in mechanical engineering and their application to product design
