Job Description: Loving Touch Daycare is seeking a
highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team for our Two-Year-Old Classroom. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, proficient in maintaining a structured and engaging classroom environment, and knowledgeable about lesson planning and curriculum development.
We are in the process of preparing for our
Quality Rated observation and need a strong, capable teacher who is already proficient with Quality Rated standards and processes. This role is for a professional who requires no additional training and is ready to hit the ground running.
Requirements: - Current CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) ? This is non-negotiable ; please do not apply if you do not have a valid CDA.
- Updated CPR Certification ? Must be current and valid.
- Completion of 10 hours of state-approved training in early childhood education.
- Proficiency in Quality Rated standards with experience in achieving or maintaining accreditation.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain structure and engagement.
- Knowledgeable in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum .

Duties Job Duties for Lead Teacher (Two-Year-Old Classroom):
1. Classroom Management: - Maintain a structured and engaging environment conducive to the growth and development of two-year-olds.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of children at all times.
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and schedules effectively to create a predictable and organized learning environment.
2. Lesson Planning and Curriculum Implementation: - Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the center?s curriculum and learning goals.
- Incorporate developmentally appropriate activities that foster physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Utilize creative and interactive teaching methods to keep children engaged and excited about learning.
3. Developmental Assessments: - Monitor and document each child?s developmental milestones and progress.
- Use observation and assessment tools to tailor learning experiences to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child?s development, behavior, and achievements.
4. Compliance and Quality Standards: - Ensure compliance with Quality Rated standards , state licensing requirements, and center policies.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and a safe environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Be prepared for Quality Rated observations and contribute to the daycare?s accreditation goals.
5. Leadership and Collaboration: - Serve as a role model and leader for assistant teachers, providing mentorship and guidance when needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members and administrators to enhance program quality.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
6. Family Engagement: - Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, promoting open communication and trust.
- Share daily updates and progress reports with parents through designated channels (e.g., Brightwheel).
- Address any concerns or questions from parents promptly and professionally.
7. Health and Safety: - Follow strict protocols for supervising children during meals, nap times, and outdoor activities.
- Ensure handwashing, sanitation, and hygiene practices are adhered to by both children and staff.
- Respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently, adhering to the daycare?s emergency response plan.
8. Professionalism and Growth: - Stay current on early childhood education trends and best practices.
- Renew and maintain required certifications, including CDA credential, CPR certification, and training hours .
- Uphold the daycare?s mission and values, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
