Job DescriptionThe Director of Advancement and Minneapolis College Foundation develops and oversees a comprehensive community awareness and fundraising program that supports the mission of the College and the College Foundation. The position is responsible for managing a multi-faceted program which includes strategies, donor research and prospecting, cultivation of community and corporate partnerships and College-wide fundraising strategies through individual and corporate gifts, major gifts, planned giving, an annual scholarship campaign, grants and alumni relations. This director motivates and provides leadership for the Foundation Board of Directors and leads staff to advance the goals of the College and the College Foundation and has oversight of external partnerships, alumni relations and scholarship programs. This position involves significant discretion and has substantial involvement in the development, interpretation and implementation of both institution and program policy. This position interfaces with a broad array of colleagues across the College and System Office the general public and plays a prominent role as an ambassador of the College, serving to generate sought after publicity This position is responsible for strategic development of initiatives with campus-wide impacts.Minimum QualificationsProgressive professional experience in non-profit, fundraising, development or related field, OR equivalent combination of degree and experience in related field. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and meeting fundraising goals and objectives including donor cultivation.Leadership and project management experience in supervising and directing staff, setting priorities, managing change, planning, organizing work, problem solving and decision making.Proven skills in financial management and budgeting to provide fiscal direction and the ability to diagnose departmental needs and represent the foundation?s requests for resourcesAbility to maintain integrity of highly confidential information. Strong interpersonal and human relations skills in order to work with others collaboratively, deal effectively with individuals and constituencies with diverse perspectives and interests, and to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels within the College and with outside organizations.Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.Other RequirementPosition requires occasional evening and weekend work, and periodic overnight travel.Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.Work Shift Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Telework This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College's Telework Guidelines.Pay Range Information Director: $40.26 ? $58.20 hourly / $84,063 ? $121,522 annually.Application ProcedureINTERESTED INDIVIDUALS SHOULD APPLY ONLINE. Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. MCTC enrolls nearly 15,000 credit students annually and is an active partner in initiatives designed to strengthen the social, economic and cultural vitality of the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
