Job Description

Automotive General Sales Manager We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Sales Manager to lead and elevate our dealership’s variable operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and has a passion for coaching and developing a top-tier sales team. Key Responsibilities:

Drive sales performance and achieve dealership goals
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team
Masterfully structure and finalize deals to maximize profitability
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives
Ensure an exceptional client experience while maintaining operational efficiency
Assume responsibility for customer retention and profitability in new and used vehicle profit centers
Hire, train, supervise, and monitor the performance of new and used vehicle department managers
Participate in the preparation of the annual dealership forecast and develop action plans to meet objectives
Monitor market trends, analyze performance data, and adjust sales strategies accordingly
Work closely with finance and fixed operations to ensure seamless customer experiences and maximize revenue opportunities
Work with the dealer and general manager to determine appropriate days' supply for new and used vehicles and order/acquire inventory accordingly
Establish procedures for quick disposal of over-aged vehicles to maintain optimal inventory levels
Address customer complaints promptly to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and uphold dealership reputation

Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of automotive sales management experience
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Exceptional ability to structure and close deals
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
Dynamic, strategic thinker who thrives in a high-energy environment
